Benchmark Data Due May 22. /shortliner/deadline-extended-benchmark-data-due-may-22/ Wed, 29 Apr 2020 20:33:26 +0000 /?p=10493 The response rate for the Association’s third annual benchmark survey, or the Business Profile & Financial Performance Survey, was off to its most successful start yet earlier this year. Then, everyone got a little distracted.

Industry Insights, the third-party firm collecting and analyzing the data, has extended the deadline to participate to May 22. Member companies that respond will receive results by the end of June.

Prime contacts at Regular Member companies will receive an email Thursday from Matt Chaffin at Industry Insights. His email address is mchaffin@industryinsights.com.

This confidential survey is a benefit of membership that offers respondents insights into plant profitability, productivity, and financial management.

The information you provide about your company goes directly to Industry Insights, where it is processed—then shredded—by CPAs. No one affiliated with the Association see company information.

Participants will receive a customized company report and an industry-wide report. The company report includes a one-page summary and breaks out 17 key criteria such as net profit margin, payroll as a percent of net sales, and cash cycle. The report characterizes your performance in broad terms—weak, strong, fair, or good. There’s also a deep dive into the data that gives companies information that compares their operations to participating companies of similar size.

If you have not provided data for this survey in the past, or have questions, please email Kristi Ruggles or just call our Association office 314.878.2304 for more information.

Check Your Inbox: Benchmark Survey On the Way /news/experimenting-with-posts/ Wed, 17 Apr 2019 16:26:32 +0000 /?p=148 In our overcrowded inboxes and time-starved days, we make choices about which emails we open.
The Association learned during the Supply Summit last week that many members chose not to open an email that in fact they wish they had. The problem was the subject line. This week, Industry Insights will send a second email to representatives from manufacturing member companies who have not yet responded to an invitation to take the 2019 Business Profile & Financial Performance Survey.
The email should have arrived by now from Matt Chaffin at Industry Insights. His email address is mchaffin@industryinsights.com. The subject line will be “Deadline approaching to participate in FEMA benchmark survey.”
The Association has intentionally put distance between itself and the third-party firm conducting the survey to assure confidentiality. That means staff does not see communications between the firm and members.
Please, take the survey. It is a benefit of membership that helps you:
Monitor and manage expenses.
Measure and improve productivity.
Protect your bottom line.
Evaluate employee effectiveness.
